If a person wants God to listen and respond to their sincere prayer, it has to be as a humble, repentant willing to do things God’s Way, a believer who is saved through Jesus Christ person. The person also has to be willing to change their ways to God’s Will and not their own. God does NOT do things OUR way, but we are to to things GOD’S WAY.
The only prayer that an unsaved person can pray and expect God to listen to is the one where the person is repentant and asking God through Jesus Christ for salvation. In doing so, their intention would need to be to do things in the future God’s Way and follow his commandments. They should also be willing to change and not intentionally sin thereafter.
Trump can have all the prayer meetings in the Oval Office that he wants, but it is unlikely that God is listening or going to respond in a positive manner. Again, things are to be God’s Way, NOT Trumps Way.
