On the second page of the Preface of the book: “Jesus introduced the idea of universal freedom and equality produced when people recognize the freedom of others by treating them the way they themselves would like to be treated”. Jesus proposed instead a political order organized on the principle of shared recognition of freedom and equality — a community of goodwill.
Jesus – was not and is not – Democratic or Republican.
